It was altered by the addition of a cornice and a wood and cast iron porch. Tradition states that the cast iron was manufactured in Richmond. Original Note (From Book): The 300 Block of West Clay Street - This block is one of the best preserved in the district containing good examples of Greek Revival and Italianate houses.
