Abstract/Description: Prospect Elementary School for whites in Prospect, Prince Edward County, Va., on U.S. route 460. Cannery made of cinder block with tin roof. The school (not in photo) was built in 1946, served grades 1-7, and had a pupil capacity of 140. Handsome brick construction. The building had indoor plumbing and either steam or hot water heat.
