Postcard Text: The Municipal Building, Washington, D.C., located at 14th and Pa. Ave., is the home of the District of Columbia Government. It is a beautiful white marble structure 243 ft. x 196 ft. and cost exclusive of site, nearly $2,000,000. The District of Columbia is under the executive control of the three commissioners, two civilians, and one Army engineer, who are appointed by the President. Congress makes its laws and pays half of the municipal expense as an offset against non assessment for taxes of United States property. Besides the offices of the District Commissioners, the Police, Fire and Health Depts. are also located in the Municipal building. A statue of Alexander P.
